CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

Seb

I can feel her eyes on me as I clean up. I can’t deny how incredible having her in my arms felt, even though I know I shouldn’t be here. I’m just blurring the lines of friendship but it seems I’m powerless to stay away. When I’ve tossed the condom in the trash, I go back to her, turn off the water, and scoop her bridal-style into my arms.

She giggles. “What are you doing?”

“Taking you to bed. I figured your legs might not carry you.”

“I think you’re probably right.”

She shivers in my arms as the cool air of the bathroom hits her wet skin. I grab a towel off the heated rail and drape it over her. “Better?”

She nods. “Thank you.”

When we get into the bedroom, I lower her to the ground next to the bed and take the towel, wrapping it around her. While she dries off, I go back into the bathroom and get a towel for myself. She’s under the comforter by the time I get back, her eyes closed and her arm up and over her face.

“You’ve definitely broken me,” she mutters. “I think I lost count of how many times you made me come.”

I smile and sit on the edge of the bed. “Three, but I’ll be going for four next time.”

Her arm falls from over her face and she opens her eyes.

“Four!” She sits up, and the comforter falls off her, revealing that she’s naked underneath. My eyes drop to her perfect tits and my cock twitches underneath the towel. “You’re trying to kill me.”

I laugh. “Death by orgasm. I guess there are worse ways to go.”

She laughs too. “I guess there are.” She looks down at the comforter, her fingers pulling on a loose piece of thread. “Are you… staying?” she asks, her eyes full of uncertainty when she finally looks up.

“If that’s okay.”

“It’s okay.” She pulls the comforter back and pats the space next to her. “We should get some sleep. I think Nash wants to head back first thing in the morning.”

I stand and drop the towel, sliding into bed next to her. “Come here,” I tell her, opening my arms. She hesitates for a second before moving across the bed and pressing her body against mine. I wrap my arms around her, and she drops her head onto my chest. My fingers track up and down her arm as I hold her.

“What did Jackson want earlier?” I ask quietly. I shouldn’t be asking, but I can’t stop myself.

She lifts her head and looks at me. “Umm… he asked for my number.”

“Did you give it to him?”

She bites her lip and nods. “I couldn’t think of a reason to say no, plus, I was mad at you.”

Jealousy swirls in my stomach, and I push it down, swallowing thickly. “I’m sorry I made you mad.”

She smiles. “I think you made up for it.” She winks. “Three times.”

I laugh and lean my head down, brushing a kiss on her lips. I want to ask her if she’s going to go out with Jackson, but it’s none of my business.
